About me
Hi! I’m Thomas Vanden Berghe, a BAEF Fellow and Master’s student at Columbia University focused on robotics and controls. I completed my B.S. in mechanical engineering at KU Leuven in Belgium, with a minor in electrical engineering. I’ve been drawn to high-performance systems since a teenage obsession with Formula 1, and that curiosity matured into a drive to solve real engineering problems with efficient, testable solutions. At Columbia, I’m building depth through courses like Robotics Studio, Robot Learning, Rapid Prototyping for Aero Products, and Digital Manufacturing. This portfolio highlights selected projects where I design, model, and iterate systems that have to work in practice.
My Portofolio
This portfolio contains a selection of mechanical engineering projects focused on designing precise and efficient solutions to complex technical problems. The work ranges from concept development to detailed CAD design and engineering analysis.
